Safety and review standards

Paw & Cook is built for celebration, not meal planning. Every recipe is intended as a small, occasional extra for a dog who can safely enjoy the listed ingredients.

Treat-only boundary

  • These recipes are for occasional dog treats only.
  • They are not nutritionally complete and are not replacements for regular dog food.
  • Keep treats to about 10% or less of your dog's daily calories.
  • Ask your veterinarian first for puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs, senior dogs, or dogs with illness, allergies, or special dietary needs.

Human review

Recipes are stored as reviewed content files, checked during the build, and kept separate from application code. Published recipes must include safety notes, size-based portions, reviewed status, and a clean ingredient check before they can ship.

The MVP does not provide live AI recipe generation, user submissions, community recipe posting, or recipe collection workflows.

When to ask a veterinarian first

Use extra caution for puppies, pregnant or nursing dogs, senior dogs, dogs with illness, dogs with allergies, or dogs with special dietary needs. Ask your veterinarian before serving a new treat in those cases.
